Chris has over 25 years experience in managing various single and multi-site fresh food businesses and building production units for the processing of salads, vegetables and small fruits. Chris worked at Vitacress and Natures Way Foods, both growers and processors of salad crops, before joining Thanet Earth Marketing Ltd in 2009. At Thanet Earth, as well as operational responsibilities, Chris has held site and group wide Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities and is an advocate for Behavioural Safety in the workplace having launched various initiatives to modify and improve on business safety culture.
Chris will ensure the running and delivery of the first production unit to a working standard and the subsequent build and commissioning of the next farms.
An experienced agritech entrepreneur who started an innovative project and led its technology through spinout, fundraising, IPO and acquisition. Co-founded and led a startup, which develops sustainable solutions for crop protection. PhD and postdoctoral training in Plant Sciences, an author and inventor on more than 20 scientific publications and patent applications.

HEAD OF FINANCE
Arindam has over 13 years of experience in fund raising, project finance, capital markets and equity research. He has previously worked at two energy infrastructure companies - Amp Energy and Azure Power - driving key fundraising activities for projects both in terms of equity capital as well as project finance. Key organizations from where he has raised private capital include CDPQ, IFC, SMBC, and FMO. Arindam also has experience in the public debt markets and has worked on green bonds. In addition, he has experience in enabling sustainability linked businesses tap public equity markets having worked on IPOs such as Enel Green Power, Azure Power, Beijing Clean Energy and OCI Polysilicon. Arindam also worked as a Clean Energy analyst at Barclays where he was part of the #1 ranked Equity Research team and has significant experience in sell-side investment banking.
JAN VAN PAASSEN
Jan is a greenhouse horticulture specialist in vegetables and flowers. He has been a grower all his life and comes from a family who have been growers for 3 generations in the Netherlands. He took on a family farm in 1983 growing 50 hectares of peppers in glasshouses and expanded the farm into the 1,400 hectares it is today. The expansion included utilising the latest horticultural technology advances including the early indoor lighting systems. Jan brings not just his own significant practical experience and expertise but also that from a very strong network of growers.
He has acted as an advisor to a number of controlled environment agriculture facilities, covering a range of countries and crop types. Jan has significant practical experience in varying nutrition and lighting to produce the highest quality and most nutritious produce. He is passionate about producing healthy food through organic and natural inputs which aligns him perfectly with the OneFarm business model.
Jan’s role at our farm will be Master Farmer for the first 4 farms. He will also train the next generation of Master Growers for our farms.
Hiba has over 14 years experience of analysing, investing and providing advisory services to business in the agricultural sector. She is the managing partner at Catalyst Ag Trust where she sources and advises on investment opportunities in the agricultural sector. Hiba has held a number of investment, strategy and governance related positions across a range of agriculture focused investment businesses in the UK and Australasia. She has also previously advised on the commercialisation of a farm technology platform. Her role will be to perform an overview of our financial strategy and ensure the interests of all funding parties is looked after.
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR CHAIRMAN
Niall is a technologist and entrepreneur. With over 30 years of experience in innovation and future thinking, he has built and sold pioneering businesses in internet infrastructure, the mobile internet and web services. Niall is the co-founder of EVRYTHNG, a company providing digital traceability for consumer products using cloud-based data models. He served as EVRYTHNG Chief Executive Officer until its acquisition in January 2022. EVRYTHNG’s customers include global drink and beverage brands and retailers, so he is familiar with the challenges that many of our customers face. Niall will also help us progress our artificial intelligence and data aspirations in relation to information used for growing, sales and demand.
NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Simon is a global expert on climate change and the financial sector. He is Chair of Finance for Biodiversity (F4B) and Director of Migrant Nation. He was Head, Secretariat, UN Secretary General’s Task Force on Digital Financing of the Sustainable Development Goals and Senior Advisor on Finance in the Executive Office of the Secretary General and Co-Director of UNEP's Inquiry into the Design of a Sustainable Financial System.
In these roles, he co-Chaired China’s Green Finance Task Force, and led the Green Finance Study Group secretariat under the Chinese, German and Argentinian G20 Presidencies. Prior to this, he was Senior Advisor to the World Economic Forum and the Global Green Growth Institute, founder and CEO of the international think tank, AccountAbility and Development Director of the New Economics Foundation. He was Visiting Professor at the Singapore Management University and the Copenhagen Business School, and has been a senior fellow at Tsinghua School of Economics and Management, Harvard`s Kennedy School of Government, and the University of Southern Africa, amongst others. He has worked with many corporations, governments and multi stakeholder initiatives on their sustainability and broader strategies, been a member of the International Advisory Board of Generation Investment Management, and has published extensively.
